Native loyalty program, Enterprise plan

Shopify loyalty app with identity checks built in. Points that only mint for real, verified buyers.

Loyalty apps hand out points to whoever is at checkout. OfferGuard runs the same identity check it uses to guard your offers, so a buyer with three email addresses has one points balance, not three signup bonuses.

Points earned on paid orders, redeemed at checkout with a slider

Points are credited when Shopify marks the order paid, calculated on the subtotal after discounts and before tax and shipping. You set the earn rate. At checkout the customer drags a slider to choose how many points to spend. Each step is one dollar off, applied as an order discount.

Earn rate

Points per dollar of post-discount subtotal. Subscription orders can earn a multiplier of your choosing.

Redemption rate

How many points make a dollar. The default is 100. Set a minimum to redeem and, if you want, a cap per order.

Deducted on payment

Points leave the balance when the order is paid, not when the slider moves. Abandoned checkouts cost nothing.

Orders carrying tags you exclude, such as wholesale or staff, earn no points.

Tiers and achievements: Member, VIP, Elite

Customers move up tiers as lifetime points cross a threshold, and each tier multiplies what they earn. The defaults are below. Rename them, move the thresholds, or change the multipliers.

Member

0 lifetime points

1x earn

VIP

1,000 lifetime points

1.5x earn

Elite

5,000 lifetime points

2x earn

Achievements are one-off goals with a points reward when they complete. Set a target on lifetime points, lifetime spend, or order count. Progress shows on the customer's rewards page.

Free-product redemption catalog

List products a customer can claim with points. Pick the variant, set the point cost, and set a maximum quantity. When the customer redeems one, the matching cart line is discounted to zero inside checkout. Refund the order and the points come back.

The catalog is the one place OfferGuard gives away a product. Checkout offer rules on the features page apply percent, fixed, and shipping discounts.

Points that can't be farmed: one profile per buyer, refund clawback

Loyalty fraud is quiet. A signup bonus claimed with five emails, a self-referral paid in points, an order refunded after the points were spent. OfferGuard closes each one.

One balance per person

Email aliases and dots collapse to one inbox. Phone, address, IP, device fingerprint, and visitor cookie link a new email to the profile that already has a balance.

Earn on what was paid

Points are computed on the post-discount subtotal, so a redemption can never print points on the amount it just took off.

Refund clawback

Refund part of an order and the points earned on that share are deducted. Refund a free-product redemption and the point cost is restored.

Ledger you can audit

Every earn, redeem, refund, achievement, and manual adjustment is a ledger entry with a source ID. Nothing is double-counted.

Rewards page on your storefront, Apple Wallet card, web push

Customers see their balance, tier, achievements, ways to earn, and recent activity on a rewards page served on your own domain. It includes the refer-a-friend flow and a short FAQ you can edit.

Apple Wallet pass

A wallet card with the live points balance and the customer's share-and-earn code. It updates on its own and can carry a lock-screen push when points land.

Web push

Browser push through your own service worker, no SMS bill. Customers who opt in get 30 points, and a push when they earn more.

Loyalty analytics and Klaviyo events

The admin shows points issued and redeemed, balances outstanding, tier movement, and each customer's ledger. Manual adjustments are logged with a reason.

Compared with Smile, LoyaltyLion, Yotpo

Those apps are mature loyalty products with wider template libraries and more integrations. What they do not do is verify who is earning. They accept the email at checkout as the customer. OfferGuard treats the email as one signal among six and resolves it to a person first.

Where they lead

  • Years of templates and widgets
  • Broad app marketplace integrations
  • Points on reviews, social follows, birthdays

Where OfferGuard leads

  • One balance per person, not per email
  • Redeem inside checkout, no code to enter
  • Refund clawback on points and free products
  • Fraud checks and rewards on one bill

Questions

How do customers redeem points?

With a slider inside Shopify checkout. Each step is one dollar off, capped by their balance, the cart subtotal, and any per-order limit you set. The discount applies as a normal order discount and the points are deducted when the order is paid.

How are points earned?

On paid orders, from the subtotal after discounts and before tax and shipping. You set the earn rate. Subscription orders can earn a multiplier, and tier multipliers stack on top. Orders with tags you exclude earn nothing.

What stops someone from farming points with several accounts?

The same identity engine that guards your offers. Email aliases collapse to one inbox, and phone, address, IP, device, and visitor cookie link a buyer to their existing profile. Refunds claw back the points earned on the refunded amount.

Can I give a free product for points?

Yes. The redemption catalog lists products with a point cost. When a customer redeems one, the matching cart line is discounted to zero at checkout.
